Conception Steven Michel et Théo Mercier
En 2018 dans Affordable Solution pour better living, le duo mettait en scène une tragi-comédie en contreplaqué qui parlait de la construction de la masculinité, où assistant vocal et coach personnel se confondaient. On y retrouvait la danse précise et expressive de Steven Michel, héros absurde de cette satire d’un monde factice, couplé au regard subversif de Théo Mercier. Pour la suite de cette recherche amusée sur l’intrusion des nouvelles technologies dans notre quotidien, les deux acolytes dévoilent Big Sisters, parodie de la dystopie d’Orwell où ce sont les objets connectés qui surveillent et contrôlent. Sur le plateau, quatre danseuses évoluent et se dématérialisent dans ces objets, qui s’emplissent de leurs aspirations et désirs. Une réflexion sur le genre, qui s’attaque à la représentation du corps des femmes, accompagnée par le texte de Jonathan Drillet.
