L’âgisme, nous dit l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé, est l’attitude qui induit « des préjugés ou un comportement discriminatoire envers des personnes ou des groupes en raison de leur âge ». C’est la thématique que les neuf comédiennes de Biques investissent en posant la question de la transmission et de l’inclusion intergénérationnelles. Comment grandir sans la vieillesse ? Comment repenser le monde, comprendre la nature, les autres, sans consulter celles et ceux qui ont vu, entendu et fait avant nous ? C’est ce que se demandent les créatrices de la Compagnie Les Mille Printemps, qui nous invitent dans leur dernier spectacle à entrer dans une maison de retraite.
Dépasser les barrières de l’âge
Biques raconte l’histoire de neuf femmes de différents âges qui se rencontrent dans la salle commune d’un EHPAD. Certaines sont là pour travailler, d’autres vivent dans l’établissement, d’autres encore sont en visite. « Je ne veux pas faire partie de cette jeunesse qui exclut, infantilise, déteste », explique Gabrielle Chalmont-Cavache. Souhaitant défendre une nouvelle façon de penser et d’agir, l’autrice et metteuse en scène signe un spectacle qui ose « poser un œil neuf sur nos âges » afin que chacune et chacun puisse « ouvrir son imaginaire à d’autres possibles ».
