S’il est un espace qui puisse supporter la monumentalité du Blanche Neige d’Angelin Preljocaj, c’est sans doute celui des jardins du château de Versailles : la masse des vingt-six danseurs, les décors imposants de Thierry Leproust y trouveront sans doute la possibilité de vibrer, posés sur l’eau du bassin de Neptune. Et les spectateurs, alors, pourront peut-être goûter au plaisir de re-découvrir un conte que nous connaissons tous : après plusieurs pièces particulièrement « abstraites », Angelin Preljocaj a souhaité, avec cette création, revenir à la narration, au récit, au plaisir de construire une danse qui raconte. Il nous livre une Blanche-Neige érotique et désespérée, des nains escaladeurs, et une surtout une marâtre parfaite, cruelle et implacable. La jalousie et le romantisme apparaissent alors comme les deux faces d’une réflexion sur le rêve et la fuite du temps.
