Mari Natsuki, chanteuse depuis son plus jeune âge, mais aussi actrice et danseuse, a conçu une forme de ballet théâtral très singulier, Impressionniste, devenu série culte au Japon, avec un succès retentissant. Elle est produite dans le monde entier (Japon, Festival d’Avignon, Festival d’Edimbourg, Pologne, Etats-Unis …), et chaque épisode est représenté tous les ans depuis 2014 dans le fameux temple de Kyoto Kiyomizu-dera. Blanche-Neige au pays des merveilles est un nouveau volet de cette série, et peut être apprécié de façon autonome. Comme le titre le suggère, il s’agit d’une hybridation entre Blanche-Neige et Alice, d’un voyage dans l’imaginaire universel des contes pour enfants. Mais gageons que cette Blanche-Neige est plus impressionnante que naïve. Elle nous plonge dans un univers féminin étrange, saisissant le discours paradoxal du conte et ses ramifications dans un inconscient collectif qui nous relie aux origines de l’humanité. Une « performance-miroir » de nos obsessions mentales.
