Théâtre Public de Montreuil / Texte et mise en scène d’Alexandre Virapin et Jules Meary
Membre fondateur du Collectif BAJOUR, associé au Théâtre Public de Montreuil, Alexandre Virapin a le goût du théâtre qui colle à la vie. Depuis Un homme qui fume c’est plus sain (2016), la première pièce qu’il co-écrit et interprète avec son groupe, il pratique un jeu très personnel et collabore par un travail de plateau à l’écriture de tous les spectacles. Dans Bob et moi, il déploie pour la première fois son art seul en scène. Accompagné à l’écriture et à la mise en scène par Jules Meary, il nous raconte sa découverte de Bob Marley à l’âge de 11 ans. C’est avec son regard d’enfant qu’il nous emmène à Kingston, en Jamaïque, dans le berceau du reggae et du mouvement rastafari. Le chemin de paix de Bob Marley, depuis le ghetto jusqu’à la célébrité que l’on connaît, prend pleinement vie à travers les mots de cet adulte redevenu gosse par la grâce du théâtre.
