Elles remontent quand même à 1987 ces Brèves de comptoir recueillies de bistrot en bistrot par Jean-Marie Gourio. Petit rappel pour les moins de trente ans, l’auteur a laissé traîner ses oreilles dans de nombreux bars parisiens pour y recueillir les phrases souvent très drôles lâchées par ceux qui s’accoudent volontiers au comptoir devant un verre de vin. « Est-ce qu’une plante carnivore peut être végétarienne ? Je ne crois pas… » fut la première de ces perles, souvent absurdes et à la fois bourrées de bon sens qui ont depuis connu un large succès.
Célébrer la réouverture des bars et des théâtres
Jean Carmet y a beaucoup contribué en les énonçant au comptoir du Palace créé à la télévision par Jean-Michel Ribes et à travers des mises en théâtre concoctées par ce dernier. Avec notamment Philippe Duquesne, ancien des Deschiens et Gaston Dreyfus, absurdologue patenté de la bande à Edouard Baer et du duo Boussiron Perez, les brèves mises en scène à nouveau par Jean-Michel Ribes reprennent du service comme pour célébrer la réouverture conjuguée des bars et des théâtres. Après des mois de privation des délices de l’ivresse partagée, nul doute que ces Brèves de comptoir risquent de nous faire tourner la tête plus vite et plus fort encore que leurs prédécesseuses.
