Une famille de buffles qui tient une blanchisserie dans un quartier populaire : tel est le point de départ de la pièce de Pau Miró. Si l’écrivain catalan, né en 1974 juste après la mort de Franco, recourt à la fable animalière, c’est sans doute le signe d’une impossibilité à évoquer le pouvoir de manière frontale. Lorsqu’il imagine que Max, le petit frère buffle, disparaît mystérieusement, il peut aussi bien parler d’un moment intime – le passage à l’âge adulte – que d’une réalité politique et sociale.
Marionnettes et fable contemporaine
Pour Emilie Flacher, qui met en scène ce texte écrit en 2008, cette pièce « parle des silences enfouis dans la famille et de l’énergie de la jeunesse à trouver sa propre voie. Elle met en scène le mystère lié à la disparition de quelqu’un de cher, et la nécessité de dire la perte, dans une langue qui déferle, traverse les corps pour construire un chœur vivant, énergique, émancipateur. » Dans son spectacle, elle contribue à réinventer la fable contemporaine pour mieux dire le réel, aussi bien par les marionnettes qu’elle construit que par le dispositif sonore qui décuple la choralité du texte et l’inscrit dans le quartier populaire d’une ville de l’Europe du sud.
