« Quand Léonore Confino m’a fait lire Building, j’ai été enthousiasmée par le sujet, l’efficacité incisive de son écriture, l’originalité de la construction dramatique, la juste vision de ces personnages et de leur névroses. Et je me suis sentie en accord immédiat avec cet univers ludique, acide et poétique », dit Catherine Schaub, qui met en scène cette redoutable parabole sur le délire déshumanisé de la gestion moderne des individus. Chez Consulting Conseil, on coache les coachs et on conseille les conseillers, avec une maîtrise avisée des techniques de communication et de la rhétorique démagogique. Suivant la chronologie d’une journée de travail, on se hisse dans le building : « hôtesses, comptables, agents d’entretien, cadres, directeurs des ressources humaines, chargés de communication s’agitent, déjeunent, prospectent, brainstorment et surtout, se donnent en pâture à une société qui revendique sans ciller la rentabilité avant tout ». Une comédie caustique, noir et terriblement lucide.
