Catherine Decastel affronte ce qu’elle définit elle-même comme « l’indicible transgression » dont la violence rend muettes ses victimes et que la société préfère taire, rajoutant ainsi de la violence à la violence. « La honte de dire, la peur d’être déshonorée publiquement après l’avoir été intimement, l’omerta de la famille. » : plus encore que la brutalité du geste, c’est le silence qui l’entoure qui tue. Il s’agit alors de savoir comment parler du viol, au travers des corps et au travers des mots. Ce à quoi s’emploie ce spectacle qui tâche de dépasser les tabous afin de témoigner de la douleur des victimes et de l’impunité et de la liberté des bourreaux. « Une atmosphère simpliste et poétique, un plateau noir symbolisant le vide, le manque, la pudeur aussi, agrémenté d’un mur d’eau qui représente la pureté, la fragilité et l’intimité. » : dans ce décor qu’anime un univers musical électro-industriel, les comédiens surgissent d’un chœur ombreux pour dire d’une façon droite et directe le récit de la cassure.
