La Compagnie du Grand Soir a été créée, il y a moins d’un an, par une « joyeuse bande de comédiens » désirant donner naissance à un théâtre politique à partir de grands textes traités sous l’angle de l’humour. Aujourd’hui, ces jeunes artistes s’emparent de La Vie de Galilée de Bertolt Brecht ainsi que de textes de Daniil Harms pour créer « un cabaret joyeux et engagé » mis en scène par Antonia Malinova. « Nous avons choisi, comme pour se nouer autour de la figure de savant maudit que représente Galilée, des perles théâtrales et politiques d’un poète lui aussi maudit, Daniil Harms. », déclarent-ils. Associant les textes de l’écrivain réduit au silence par Staline aux questions politiques que soulève la pièce de Bertolt Brecht, la Compagnie du Grand Soir envisage Cabaret Galilée comme une façon de réinterroger la notion d’utopie, de s’élever contre les idéologies qui nous soumettent, contre la nécessité de l’ordre des choses.
