Le camp de Theresienstadt, ville aujourd’hui située en République Tchèque, fut conçu comme un camp « modèle » visant à occulter le vrai visage de l’entreprise d’extermination menée par les nazis. Les enfants pouvaient y poursuivre leur éducation et de nombreux artistes emprisonnés y développèrent une vie artistique, avant une mort quasi certaine à cause des conditions de vie ou de la déportation vers Auschwitz. Ce spectacle fait revivre sur scène des chansons de cabaret composées et interprétées à Terezin entre 1942 et 1944 par des artistes célèbres en leur temps (Ilse Weber, Léo Strauss, Frida Rosental, Karel Svenk…) qui finirent pour la plupart par mourir sur place. Avec Isabelle George (qui signe aussi la mise en scène), Sergei Dreznin (pianiste et directeur musical), David Kruger, Olivier Ruidavet mais aussi Boris Bergman pour l’adaptation des chansons.
