« Un Cabaret de grâce et d’élégance, pour célébrer le réel en grinçant, contorsionnant, chantant, dansant. » C’est ainsi que François Verret esquisse la ligne de force de sa nouvelle création, inspirée de Kurt Weill et Hans Eisler, revisitée par Heiner Müller, qui taille dans les chairs meurtries du monde les questions toujours à vif de l’homme en but au tourment d’exister. Dans un de ces bars nocturnes où s’oublient les tensions du jour, quelques personnes s’échouent, aux prises avec leurs « fictions » privées ou publiques. Dans ce cabaret singulier, contorsionniste (Angela Laurier), équilibriste (Mika Kaski), acteur (Ahmed Meguini), danseur (François Verret et son double mannequin) et chanteuse (Dorothée Munyaneza) se glissent tour à tour au cœur des figures archétypes qui traversent le monde contemporain.
