« Cette nouvelle pièce convoque le silence, pour la liberté octroyée au moment d’interrompre le rythme. Le silence ouvre d’autres voies pour improviser et permet de jouer davantage avec le temps. Cela provoque chez moi la nécessité de re-questionner mes mouvements, non pas en interprétant une musique, mais en découvrant les appuis, les pauses, la respiration de mon propre corps. La Divine Comédie de Dante et Le Jardin des Délices de Bosch m’ont inspirée, car ces oeuvres m’évoquent le contraste et l’ironie qui surgissent au cœur même d’idées convenues.
Laisser surgir les contradictions
Les premières images de la pièce sont liées à la propreté, à l’harmonie, au blanc immaculé, – une amplitude et une perfection qui nous laissent stoïques. Puis vient le contraste avec l’obscurité, le désordre et les interruptions. J’ai besoin de mettre à l’épreuve à partir de différents points de vue ce qui crée chez moi de l’inquiétude ou de la curiosité. Mes propres contradictions m’amènent à me surprendre moi-même, le vertige m’attire. J’essaie de trouver des connexions entre des univers différents. »
