En deux concerts au Café de la Danse, « Cara » et ses musiciens nous relatent dix ans de la plus exemplaire, constante et singulière aventure actuelle du jazz français en grande formation. Avec une intelligence musicale remarquable, il a su composer un groupe équilibré de musiciens, brassant allégrement (jeunes) « vétérans » (Villéger, Egéa, Leloup, Rocheman, etc…) et jeunes (Thomas Grimmonprez, Matthieu Donarier, etc…), classiques et modernes, pour donner naissance à une redoutable machine à remonter (et parfois accélérer) le temps du jazz : de Louis Armstrong aux compositeurs de jazz français les plus contemporains. Après dix de répétitions, de concerts et de disques, le Caratini Jazz Ensemble a accumulé dans ses cartons un nombre impressionnant de musiques nouvelles, relectures de classiques ou de créations. En deux concerts, Caratini nous en offre un « best of », « De Django à Solal » puis « De l’amour et du réel » (le 3), et « De Louis Armstrong à la biguine » puis « De Cole Porter à Miles Davis » (le 4). Attention, « Bal de clôture » le 3 à 21 h, pour saisir le luxe de danser accompagné par le meilleur orchestre de bal que vous rencontrerez dans votre vie… Impossible de citer tous les musiciens mais signalons les interventions, en invités, de Sara Lazarus et Hildegarde Wanzlawe (chant), Thierry Caens (trompette), Alain Jean-Marie (piano) et Roger Raspail (Gwo Ka).
