« Les Siècles » ne sont décidément comparables à aucun autre orchestre. En parallèle à leur exploration des répertoires joués à chaque fois sur l’instrumentarium d’époque, la formation dirigée par François-Xavier Roth rencontre le DJ américain, pilier de la musique techno, Carl Craig. Cette création hybride s’annonce palpitante, d’autant que l’arrangement est supervisé par Francesco Tristano Schlimé, pianiste aussi à l’aise dans le classique que dans l’electro. Avant cette pièce « crossover » seront données deux œuvres de musique contemporaine : City life de Steve Reich et Streets de Bruno Mantovani. Ces partitions ont en commun d’être inspirées par New York. Le rythme si particulier de Manhattan trouve un écho minimaliste excitant chez Reich, et génialement imprévisible chez Mantovani.
