« Pilgrimage, pèlerinage en français, évoque ce qu’est pour moi la musique, celle que j’aime à entendre et celle que j’aimerais composer. Les deux mots proviennent du terme latin peregrinus qui signifie l’étranger, le voyageur, sans la connotation religieuse qui vint par la suite. La musique, comme la vie elle-même, me semble être un pèlerinage : un voyage dans le temps et l’espace autant qu’un voyage vers notre nature essentielle et donc vers les autres, » confie Catherine Braslavsky dont la musique, confiée au Chœur Terra Sancta, oscille entre inspirations médiévales (Hildegarde de Bingen est son mentor) et musiques du monde (dans des impressions souvent rapportées de voyage), dans un alliage de voix de femmes et de percussions, entre recueillement et vibrations plus terrestres. « J’essaie de composer une musique d’aujourd’hui qui contienne une dimension spirituelle et en même temps, qui parle de ce qui nous concerne actuellement, comme le rapport à la violence ou notre relation avec la nature » conclut Catherine Braslavsky, qui s’installe pour un soir dans l’Eglise Saint Julien le Pauvre pour faire vivre sur scène ses nouvelles œuvres.
