André Ceccarelli est l’un des batteurs les plus actifs et importants de la scène musicale française depuis 30 ans. Sa carrière fut longtemps doublement orientée dans les domaines du studio (où il s’avère un redoutable et imparable requin au service des plus grands noms de la variété française) et bien sûr du jazz. Dès la deuxième partie des années 60, il s’impose sur le devant de la scène parisienne, et ne quitte plus les clubs de la capitale, croisant le fer avec les plus grands musiciens français ou américains (de Jean-Luc Ponty à Eddy Louiss et de Dexter Gordon à Stan Getz). Le tout nouveau projet en leader de « Dédé » est une sympathique aventure familiale. Quatre batteurs de la famille Ceccarelli sont au rendez-vous : son père Jean, son frère Jean-Paul, et son fils Régis ! Auprès d’eux, quelques amis (de la famille) comme le guitariste Sylvain Luc, compatriote niçois, le contrebassiste Diego Imbert et le pianiste Alfio Origlio. « Ce qui m’intéresse dans la musique, c’est la communion » confie André.
