conception et mise en scène Geneviève de Kermabon
Le spectacle est une plongée dans un univers fortement inspiré de la vie et des rencontres « felliniennes » de son autrice. Geneviève de Kermabon rassemble à elle seule, dans son corps comme dans son imaginaire, le Cirque Gruss, le Moulin Rouge, Le Magic Circus, Archaos, La Strada… C’est ainsi que les souvenirs se troublent, se colorent, que l’enfance resurgit. Le tragique côtoie le sublime, la sueur se mêle aux larmes, la violence à la beauté. Sans tabou et avec tous les ressorts du théâtre et de l’illusion, elle fait un portrait de l’évolution du cirque d’antan jusqu’au cirque contemporain, porté par des humanités profondément touchantes.
Fresque circassienne et marionnettique
Sur scène, un jeune acrobate, ou l’image d’un chanteur lyrique en clown Marcellys nourrissent un dialogue avec Céleste. La dramaturgie repose également sur les relations entretenues avec les éléments scénographiques et marionnettiques, en forme de piste de cirque, de bestiaire, de petits chariots et de lanternes magiques. Dans cet univers à la fois désuet, magique et fantasmé, Geneviève de Kermabon joue de nos représentations pour mieux soulever des questions essentielles, comme celles de l’engagement sacrificiel, la place de l’animal dans le cirque, la notion de déclin, ou l’image de la femme-clown.
