Les Gémeaux Chorégraphie Maguy Marin
La pièce date de 1985, et figure au répertoire du Ballet de l’Opéra National de Lyon, toujours plébiscité lorsqu’il s’agit de la reprendre. Il faut dire que Maguy Marin n’y allait pas de main morte : balayant d’un revers de la main les références qui pré-existaient alors (Marius Petipa, Fokine, ou le Bolchoï), elle s’emparait de la partition de Prokofiev pour réécrire l’histoire en la transposant dans une maison de poupée. L’effet visuel est immédiat pour le spectateur : les danseurs entièrement masqués ressemblent à des pantins, et la gestuelle réinvente le langage classique à l’aune de postures proches de la marionnette. Cendrillon n’a pas fini d’inspirer les plus grands chorégraphes : Noureev et ses personnages hollywoodiens, ou dernièrement le Ballet Biarritz, qui continue de réinventer l’ouvrage. Les plus belles versions, comme celle de Maguy Marin, ont en commun une touche d’humour, allant parfois jusqu’au burlesque.
