Malgré sa grammaire scénique si personnelle, l’écriture de Joël Pommerat se révèle suffisamment ouverte pour laisser le champ libre à d’autres metteurs en scène. En témoigne cette proposition de Camille de la Guillonnière. Cendrillon lui permet de poursuivre son questionnement sur la famille, dans le sillage de ses précédentes créations, Tango de Slawomir Mrozej, La Noce de Bertolt Brecht ou La Cerisaie d’Anton Tchekhov. Dans la nouvelle famille de Cendrillon, celle de sa belle-mère, l’amour et le respect des morts, en l’occurrence pour la mère de la jeune fille, n’existent pas.
Mort, reconstruction et amour
Comment alors pourrait-elle respecter les vivants, s’interroge Camille de la Guillonnière, qui se demande dans le même temps ce qu’on fait de nos morts « dans une société où le deuil est de plus en plus nié et tabou » ? En se concentrant sur ce thème, il parle des peurs de notre temps, avec deux armes simples mais efficaces : le jeu des acteurs et la lumière. Mais il parle aussi de reconstruction, de vérité et d’amour. D’autant que Sandra/Cendrillon a pour atout une bonne fée aussi cynique que déjantée !
