Jean Genet n’est pas loin dans l’inspiration de ces Cérémonies depuis le Morvan. Deux jeunes garçons enfermés dans une grange se livrent à une étrange cérémonie. Le jeune Radieux a pour obligation de raconter et d’inventer, sous la menace, l’histoire de son ami d’infortune, nommé Razou. Abandonnés à la naissance, puis adoptés, ils partagent la même vie. Pourtant la souffrance de Razou est telle qu’elle ne peut s’exprimer que grâce au verbe généreux et magnifique de Radieux : il est un double qui possède les mots que Razou n’a pas. Le don d’éloquence n’en finit pas d’inventer et de recréer. Jusqu’où ira ce jeu entre vérité et fiction ? Cette pièce, selon Dominique Paquet, tente une thérapie par la parole. Mettre des mots sur sa propre vie aide à la reconstruire et à lui donner sens. Cérémonies témoigne d’une reconquête de soi. Les ruptures – échappées, fuites, volte-face des garçons – rythment un temps flirtant entre passé et présent quand la tendresse adolescente est profonde. Un hommage rendu à la jeunesse, avec Julien Bouanich, Sylvain Levitte et Ariane Simon.
