« En général le théâtre c’est ça : des congrès de morts qui vont dans les théâtres pour regarder des morts. Je fais partie de ces morts, alors je fais ce que je peux pour être en vie. » lance d’un trait net Rodrigo Garcia : planté en plein ventre mou de la culture joliment tirée à quatre épingles. C’est comme ça et me faites pas chier. Voilà qui est dit. Le titre, balancé direct comme libre bravade, donne le ton. Rodrigo Garcia ne s’embarrasse pas des bonnes mœurs théâtrales et manie en maître l’art de déranger les lisières du réel et de la fiction pour molester les certitudes. « Je travaille avec des éléments de performance mais je les structure de manière théâtrale. » explique-t-il. Dans ce nouvel opus, écrit pour un acteur aveugle Melchior Derouet, l’auteur et metteur en scène madrilène dépèce le vecteur de la dramaturgie occidentale : la parole. En scène, les trois comédiens croisent pensées philosophiques et description des fresques du peintre Masaccio. Dans cette trinité singulière, peu à peu se révèle la tragique échappée du réel, qui sans cesse s’enfuit des mots.
