À l’occasion d’un projet de rénovation d’un quartier, deux architectes visitent l’ex-local social d’une tour, aujourd’hui atelier d’Art Plastique, de Musique, de Danse ou d’Art culinaire aux origines ethniques diverses. Les voilà retenus contre leur volonté par un gardien brésilien sexagénaire, déterminé à ce que les deux « artistes » réagissent au visionnage des vidéos réalisées par sa propre fille, une jeune documentariste cameraman qui a interrogé les « vrais gens » de la ville. Les jeunes du groupe musical dont la chanteuse est une étudiante-boursière en architecture arrivent avec de bons plats. On les verra aussi en flash-back aux prises avec la femme politique commanditaire de la rénovation et avec la jeune documentariste, critique sur l’état des lieux. Le metteur en scène compare le spectacle à une performance, une tentative audacieuse de rapprocher les hommes et les femmes qui vivent ensemble dans des utopies imaginées par d’autres. Une façon de partager des pensées, des émotions et surtout des rêves. Une confrontation entre Le Corbusier, architecte suisse, inventeur de « la machine à habiter » et Zaha Hadid, femme irakienne du XXIe siècle, dont le regard décidé est tourné vers futur et l’utopie.
