De chambre en chambre et d’histoire en histoire, Béatrice reçoit de plein fouet les joies et les peines, les souffrances criantes et les douleurs muettes, les espoirs et les craintes des femmes qui donnent la vie et parfois la perdent. Le temps est compté, le travail est harassant : Béatrice voudrait reprendre son souffle et comprendre comment ces éclats de vie font écho à la sienne, ancienne danseuse nue dans un spectacle ambulant devenue soignante. Adapté du roman de Julie Bonnie, le spectacle est, selon les mots de Catherine Vrignaud Cohen qui le met en scène, une « odyssée sur la puissance de nos résiliences ».
Résilience et renaissance
Ce « road-movie intime » d’une antihéroïne qui « s’affranchit de son désir de normalité, de l’obligation de perfection, pour devenir elle-même, comme au moment d’une naissance » se déploie dans une esthétique épurée, quasi onirique. La comédienne fait vibrer l’espace vide autour d’elle et sa solitude fait écho à la fragilité du personnage. Anne Le Guernec, pour la première fois seule au plateau, interprète cette « sonate de peau » avec intensité et émotion, s’offrant corps et âme à ce personnage sans fard, à cette femme exigeante et sincère qui témoigne pour tous ceux qui, comme elle, choisissent d’exister et pas seulement de vivre.
