« Je n’ai pas seulement épousé Jean, mais aussi ses idées, moi qui suis née à Varsovie où le mot communisme était devenu un mot grossier dénué de sens ; nos idées, nous les avons défendues en chansons depuis toujours, celles qui proclamaient que l’homme serait un jour plus grand que l’homme. » dit Anna Prucnal qui offre ses cris et ses joies, ses colères et ses indignations, sa nostalgie et sa mélancolie en des chansons ciselées pour elle par Jean Mailland qui l’accompagne en récitant dans ce spectacle. Soutenus au piano par Antoine-Marie Millet, les deux artistes continuent de cartographier un monde d’amour et de liberté, forts de leurs blessures et de leurs espoirs. « Nées au point de contact douloureux de l’Histoire et de leur histoire d’homme et de femme », ces chansons disent leur parcours sensible de rêveurs responsables. Depuis Les Années silence jusqu’à Ivre-vivre, en passant par C’était à Babelsberg, Ma dissidence, Le Fou de la forêt et tant d’autres, le programme de ces Chansons et contre-chansons offre au public l’occasion de retrouver ou de découvrir la passion et l’intelligence de ces deux artistes qui œuvrent avec authenticité et justesse à explorer le monde et l’homme en leurs failles obscures ou lumineuses. « Dans notre âme, pas un cheveu blanc ! » disent Anna Prucnal et Jean Mailland qui, en effet, au contraire des médiocres, ne se résignent à rien et surtout pas à vieillir !
