Jean-Pierre Bodin, qui se revendique avec humour « acteur ethnographe et colporteur de réalité » a l’art de créer, avec l’apparente décontraction et l’inventivité souriante d’une fin de soirée arrimée au zinc, des petits personnages anodins, un peu hâbleurs, beaux parleurs souvent éméchés, déconneurs inventifs, amateurs de blagues, de filles et de rouge limé, spécialistes de la java à papa et de la valse trébuchante. Généreux et authentiques, ces héros ordinaires ont le pied et le coude véloces et tournoient sous les lampions en des scènes que le conteur malicieux croque avec un réalisme tendre, drôle et émouvant. Poète du quotidien, Pierrot de l’ordinaire, homme du sens parce que du simple, Jean-Pierre Bodin rit avec et jamais contre ceux dont il raconte les histoires, comme celles de Jeannot, grand spécialiste des bals de campagne, qui sait bien que pour bien amuser et faire virevolter le populo, il faut toujours jouer un peu faux, comme à contretemps du quotidien prosaïque, pour permettre le chaloupé et le hiatus qui font chavirer les corps et les cœurs…
Un spectacle convivial et fraternel
Bertrand Péquèriau, Eric Proud et Bruno Texier, trois musiciens dont les audaces inventives ne se limitent pas à l’accompagnement instrumental, font naître avec Bodin des tableaux suggestifs aussi inattendus que désopilants. Les chansons d’Alexandrine Brisson, rigolotes et poétiques, sont interprétées avec tout ce qu’il faut de canards pour que le spectacle obéisse à l’adage de Jeannot le matois. Jean-Pierre Bodin, qui évoque les accordéons, les rêves un peu déglingués et la réalité un peu cabossée de ces athlètes du banal qui ont toujours un habit de fête de rechange au fond du coffre de leur voiture en cas de digestion hasardeuse du plat de mogettes, se joue avec esprit de son propre récit, sans jamais se prendre au sérieux. L’auteur et comédien se livre à un éloge gourmand de l’univers des bals et à une chronique savoureuse des choses et des gens en un spectacle qui s’achève pour tous sur la scène transformée en piste de bal que chacun peut investir, cavalière au bras ou canon de rouge à la main, dans un grand tournoiement camarade, jouissif et joyeux.
