La Manufacture – Château de Saint-Chamand / d’après La Genèse / texte et mes François Rancillac
Comme dans une réunion de travail, chaque spectateur-lecteur dispose ici des documents papiers auxquels se réfèrent les acteurs-exégètes : Danielle Chinsky, Daniel Kenigsberg, Frédéric Révérend et François Rancillac, quant à lui plutôt dans le rôle d’un Candide questionneur, parfois un brin malicieux. Ils sont installés en compagnie des spectateurs autour de tables disposées en carrés. Inspirée notamment par un essai de la psychanalyste Marie Balmary, la séance d’étude s’appuie sur la traduction biblique d’André Chouraqui et se réfère aussi à la version originale, en hébreu. D’emblée, les échanges déjouent certains présupposés, remarquant par exemple que le mot faute n’existe pas dans la Genèse. Reconnaissance de l’altérité grâce à Eve, naissance de l’homme comme sujet, plaidoyer pour la relation plutôt que la dévoration, pour le libre-arbitre plutôt que la prédestination : le spectacle invite au-delà des convictions de chacun à exercer une difficile liberté, contre « les intégrismes de tout poil » selon les mots du metteur en scène.
