Par le choix des compositeurs qu’elle aborde, où la création contemporaine occupe une place prépondérante, mais aussi par son goût pour les associations avec d’autres disciplines artistiques (la danse hip-hop, la vidéo, etc), la formation fondée par Loïc Pierre incarne une approche radicalement ouverte et frondeuse de l’art choral en France. Dans ce nouveau projet de forme « ciné-concert » intitulé Ombres vives, qui se définit comme une ballade cinématographique, Mikrokosmos condense et remixe des images de cinéma (de Metropolis de Fritz Lang aux extraits de 12 films différents d’Alfred Hitchcock en passant par Meliès ou encore Le voleur de Bagdad de Raoul Walsh) et des œuvres musicales de Bruno Régnier, Pascal Zavaro, Aaron Jay Kernis, Ko Matsushita, Jukka Linkola, Thierry Machuel… Un nouvel art du collage d’images et de sons, où se mêlent aussi des effets de bruitages grâce à un joyeux instrumentarium de 300 accessoires en tous genres. Avec aussi le chœur du Conservatoire de Nanterre. Une proposition singulière et attirante.
