La musique française est au cœur du projet musical de Michel Piquemal à la tête du Chœur régional Vittoria d’Ile-de-France. Ensemble, ils ont enregistré de nombreuses œuvres importantes et parfois oubliées de notre patrimoine, à l’image du Roi David d’Arthur Honegger, du Requiem de Roppartz ou de la Dernière messe des vivants de Gossec. Ne s’encombrant d’aucun prétexte particulier, Piquemal, en artiste libre et amoureux, rend cette saison hommage à Maurice Duruflé, compositeur français né en 1902, organiste de formation et ancien élève de Paul Dukas, Charles Widor et Louis Vierne. Son Requiem, composé en 1947, domine son œuvre et peut être rapproché dans son inspiration universelle, humaniste et apaisée de celui de Fauré. Il a pourtant déserté les programmes de concerts… Piquemal nous invite à renouer avec cette musique magnifique, admirée du public et des musiciens anglais, dans la version réduite, dite « d’église », pour mezzo-soprano, double quintette à cordes, harpe et orgue. Le Requiem sera précédé lors de ces deux concerts par les Trois Poèmes Liturgiques, pour mezzo-soprano, chœur, double quintette à cordes, harpe et orgue d’Eric Lebrun (né en 1967), lui aussi organiste et compositeur, titulaire du grand orgue Cavaillé-Coll de l’église Saint Antoine des Quinze-Vingts à Paris et auteur au disque d’intégrales remarquables des œuvres de Jehan Alain, Maurice Duruflé et César Franck. Avec Marylin Revel (mezzo-soprano).
