FORMATION CHORALE / MUSIQUE FRANCAISE / LEVIS SAINT-NOM / MANTES-LA-JOLIE
Sans s’y limiter (Vittoria chantera le Schicksalslied de Brahms et la Fantaisie chorale de Beethoven à l’invitation de l’Orchestre National d’Île de France cette saison), notre chœur régional bat depuis 25 ans la chamade pour la musique française. Au concert comme au disque, Michel Piquemal a été à l’origine de nombreuses découvertes et il a aussi permis la diffusion d’œuvres majeures très peu jouées par d’autres. « Mon but est de sortir des sentiers battus. On a tendance à servir toujours la même « soupe » au public. Les programmateurs nous demandent d’ailleurs constamment le Requiem de Mozart et quand je leur parle de la musique de Joseph-Guy Ropartz, dont nous avons enregistré l’intégralité de l’œuvre sacrée ; ils me disent qu’ils auront une salle vide… Il faut avoir le courage de faire découvrir de nouvelles œuvres, notamment du répertoire français » s’enthousiasme Piquemal. Ces deux programmes de rentrée présentés comme un hommage à Poulenc rassemblent des œuvres de Fauré (Cantique de Jean Racine), Martial Caillebotte (frère du peintre, Dies Irae et Psaume 132) et Poulenc avec deux chef-d’œuvres au centre du répertoire du Chœur Vittoria depuis 20 ans : Litanies à la Vierge Noire et Gloria. Avec Dominique McCormick (soprano), Mathias Lecomte (piano), Michel Piquemal et Boris Mychajliszyn (direction).
