C’est sous le titre prometteur de « Varsovie s’invite à Paris » que s’annonce la huitième édition de ce festival convivial et exigeant initié par l’Institut Polonais de Paris. Pour l’occasion, la programmation change de décor en passant des jardins du Luxembourg à ceux plus secrets et sauvages du magnifique Parc Montsouris. Quatre pianistes polonais se succèderont dans quatre programmes entièrement dédiés à Chopin : le jeune Łukasz Krupiński, qui vient de signer au début de l’année son premier disque (« Espressione », œuvres de Haydn, Chopin, Scriabine), ouvrira le festival (le 18/06) avant de céder le tabouret de son piano, une semaine plus tard, à Michał Drewnowski, de quinze ans son aîné, lauréat de nombreux concours internationaux (le 25/06). Le troisième concert provoquera une rencontre avec l’une des grandes figures du jazz polonais, Artur Dutkiewicz, né en 1958, spécialiste de la formule du piano solo si propice à la relecture de l’œuvre de Chopin (le 2/07). Enfin, autre référence du piano polonais, Rafał Łuszczewski s’est imposé comme un ambassadeur dans le monde entier du grand compositeur polonais à travers son imposante discographie (entre autres sur le label Dux) et comme initiateur de la création de plusieurs « Concours Chopin » sur le continent sud-américain (le 9/07).
