Avis aux amoureux de Chopin ! Le Festival Chopin au Jardin du Luxembourg offre diverses visions des œuvres du compositeur. Chacun des six magnifiques pianistes invités représente une génération et un style. Ewa Poblocka (14 juin), la doyenne de cette année, fut élève de Conrad Hansen à Hambourg et primée aux concours de Bordeaux en 1979 et de Varsovie en 1980. Magdalena Lisak (28 juin), lauréate à Varsovie en 1995, se fait, comme son aînée, trop rare à Paris. Marc Laforêt (5 juillet), le seul de cette édition à n’être pas Polonais, incarne l’élégance du piano français. Piotr Nowak et Katarzyna Golofit (19 juillet) appartiennent à la toute jeune génération. Enfin, Pianohooligan, de son vrai nom Piotr Orzechowski (12 juillet), né en 1990, est un pianiste de jazz de grand talent, distingué à de nombreuses occasions. Il improvise sur des thèmes folkloriques que Chopin a réinventés et donne au compositeur un nouveau souffle surprenant, entre romantisme et modernité.
