VAUCLUSE / LYRIQUE
Depuis sa nomination comme directeur artistique des Chorégies d’Orange en décembre 2015, 2018 marque la première saison entièrement programmée par Jean-Louis Grinda. Souhaitant renouveler le répertoire du Théâtre antique en sortant des sempiternels Trouvère ou Carmen, il propose en effet – et met en scène – une œuvre rarement donnée : le Mefistofele de Boito avec Erwin Schrott, Jean-François Borras, Marie-Ange Todorovitch, Béatrice Uria-Monzon et, à la baguette, Nathalie Stutzmann, première femme à diriger un opéra aux Chorégies. Plus classique, le deuxième opéra représenté est Le Barbier de Séville de Rossini qui s’offre de grands noms du répertoire comme Michael Spyres, Olga Peretyatko-Mariotti ou Florian Sempey. Si les lyricophiles pourront écouter dans la Cour Saint-Louis les voix de grands interprètes tels que Karine Deshayes, Edgardo Rocha, Eva-Maria Westbroek et George Petean, les amoureux de la danse pourront se régaler avec le ballet La Flûte enchantée de Maurice Béjart. Un ciné-concert autour des musiques de Fantasia, un concert des révélations classiques de l’Adami et un récital d’airs d’opéra russe parachèveront cette édition 2018.
