Sandrine Buring déclare s’être présentée devant chaque enfant polyhandicapé de l’hôpital de La Roche-Guyon avec la plus grande disponibilité, explorant par le biais de la danse « cet entre-deux du contact entre les corps où frémit la rencontre ». L’auteur et metteur en scène Stéphane Olry a assisté à ces séances, avant d’interviewer des soignants en compagnie de sa complice danseuse. « Ni le texte ni le mouvement ne sont décalqués de la réalité, mais plutôt tissés dans le rêve de l’expérience, dans sa fantasmagorie, explique le fondateur de La Revue Eclair (collectif artistique fondé avec la comédienne Corine Miret, qui interprète Hic sunt leones – Là-bas il y a des lions avec la chanteuse Isabelle Duthoit). A partir d’une pauvreté volontaire de moyens, un corps contraint, des voix sans amplification, nous essayons de donner une amplitude maximale à un événement discret, une grimace par exemple, ou une phrase échappée lors d’un entretien. » Sandrine Buring et Stéphane Olry proposent ainsi aux spectateurs de partager la perte de repères qui découle de ces rencontres, ainsi que le trouble qui en résulte et les découvertes qui en surgissent.
