Soliste à l’Ensemble Intercontemporain depuis 1990, Christophe Desjardins s’est depuis toujours engagé dans le champ de la création musicale. Les plus grands compositeurs de notre temps ont reconnu en lui un médiateur hors-pair : Berio, Boulez, Boesmans, Jarrell, Fedele, Nunes, Levinas, Harvey, Stroppa et Rihm lui confient leurs partitions. Sa discographie, elle aussi, a de quoi impressionner. On peut citer Diadèmes de Marc-André Dalbavie, sous la direction de Pierre Boulez, Surfing de Philippe Boesmans ou encore la Sequenza VI de Luciano Berio enregistrée pour Deutsche Grammophon. S’exprimant sur un superbe instrument ancien, un alto de Marino Capicchioni, Christophe Desjardins aborde aujourd’hui la musique de Philippe Manoury dans le cadre d’un passionnant atelier-concert en présence du compositeur et de Laurent Cuniot, directeur musical de l’ensemble TM+ à l’initiative de ce rendez-vous. Cette rencontre va permettre d’entrer dans le détail de la Partita Ide Manoury, œuvre écrite en 2007 et conçue pour alto et électronique en temps réel.
L’œuvre exploite la grande expérience acquise par le compositeur dans l’utilisation des « machines » et sa capacité à développer les phénomènes d’interaction entre l’interprète et l’ordinateur. « L’œuvre utilise la technique innovante de captation du geste, appliquée ici aux mouvements et aux inflexions de l’archet. Une nouvelle ère s’ouvre dans le domaine des musiques mixtes : l’interprète peut maintenant agir directement sur la partie électronique, en modulant certains paramètres en fonction de son jeu. C’est un peu de vie instillée dans la machine, et un nouvel élan vers des territoires musicaux à découvrir » souligne Desjardins. A la fin du concert, le public pourra réagir à la musique qu’il aura découverte et dialoguer « à chaud » avec le compositeur et son interprète.
