Christophe Feutrier qui a dernièrement collaboré à Baïbars de Marcel Bozonnet, monte aujourd’hui Délire à deux de Ionesco, une pièce de théâtre en un acte, une petite tragi-comédie écrite en 1962 qui n’en révèle pas moins l’énormité de l’absurde insinuée dans les relations quotidiennes et privées d’un couple – Elle et Lui – que cernent une guerre extérieure, des voisins et des soldats. Un homme, incarné par Didier Galas, et une femme interprétée par Valérie Dréville de retour à Avignon, se querellent amèrement tandis qu’on entend au-dehors les bruits d’un conflit collectif. L’histoire de l’un et de l’autre se reconstitue de réplique en réplique et d’assaut en assaut. Dans le même temps, l’habitation du duo infernal est bombardée, ce qui provoque effondrements et cassures de plâtres.
Un condensé brûlant de l’œuvre subversive de Ionesco
L’obligation urgente de boucher les fenêtres et de barricader les portes fait se détourner momentanément le couple de sa dispute avant d’y revenir obstinément. « Depuis dix-sept ans, je t’écoute. Dix-sept ans que tu m’as arrachée à mon mari, à mon foyer », dit-elle. « Mais cela n’a rien à voir avec la question », répond-il. Une large part est donnée aux improvisations et actions physiques insufflées par l’imaginaire et à la danse des corps sous l’œil du chorégraphe Philippe Ducou. Enfin, la vie créée par l’environnement musical de Samuel Sighicelli se déploie en déclinant « les possibles les plus fous de la relation du couple avec le reste du monde, associations d’idées, bruits du dehors, résonances intérieures ». Le jeu dégage de l’humour. Pour Christophe Feutrier, Délire à deux est une pièce drôle, un condensé brûlant de l’œuvre subversive de Ionesco, une analyse en profondeur du thème des relations amoureuses.
