Passé par le Conservatoire de Bordeaux, les écoles de Rosella Hightower à Cannes et d’Alvin Ailey à New-York, Hamid Ben Mahi est un magnifique interprète qui s’est très vite tourné vers le hip hop. En 2001, alors qu’il venait de monter sa compagnie Hors Série, il créait avec la complicité de Michel Schweizer Chronic(s), un solo fort remarqué dans lequel, prenant la parole, il interrogeait son identité de jeune danseur. Vingt ans plus tard, il poursuit l’expérience avec Chronic(s) 2. Que sont devenus ses rêves ? Quelles épreuves a-t-il, avons-nous traversées ? De quoi sera fait notre avenir ? En programmant ces deux solos dans une même soirée, le Théâtre Louis Aragon nous convie à une véritable épopée humaine et chorégraphique.
