« J’ai posé son corps ici et ils l’ont vu alors je me suis levé je n’avais pas d’autre solution dans ma tête que je venais de récupérer je me suis levé plus haut que de coutume très haut pour moi avec le vertige que je dois taire pour dire le reste… », dit L’Homme. Et Le Meilleur ami : « J’ai échappé aux incendies à la raison d’état aux guerres à la censure aux inondations à l’ignorance à la fièvre aux rats à l’amour… ». Puis La Jeune fille : « Il y a si peu qui puisse nous recueillir étreindre nous saisir. Si peu si peu. » Alternant dialogues et monologues, rejoignant le tragique comme le vaudeville, le mélodrame musical comme le burlesque, les fragments dont se compose L’Orchestre perdu disent la difficulté d’un monde où tout peine à s’assembler. Ils le disent par le truchement de cinq interprètes (Sylvain Decure, Christophe Huysman, Sarah Leck, Antoine Raimondi et Anne Saubost), cinq être humains en proie à l’arbitraire.
Du (mélo)drame musical et burlesque au vaudeville
Comment revenir à soi, à la vie ? Comment réparer l’humain ? Comment rejoindre l’humanité, cette cocasserie sans fin d’être au monde et dans ce monde ? Est-ce l’idée d’une défaite ? Ou plus simplement la traversée d’un monde où tout peine à s’assembler ? Cherchant à « nommer et lier l’indescriptible » sans jamais le simplifier ou le rendre acceptable, Christophe Huysman convoque des réflexions portées par toutes sortes de décompositions et de recompositions. Mère, fille, ami, banquier, homme politique, soldat, rescapé, assassin, victime… : L’Orchestre perdu nous invite à un voyage guidé par des personnages aux corps multiples et aux rôles interchangeables. Un voyage que l’auteur n’envisage pas comme une rupture, mais comme un trajet dans lequel « subsiste l’espoir du collectif, du collectif abîmé, mis en abîme, du rassemblement où le corps mis en lumière de l’Homme se perd, joue et rejoue l’invraisemblable humanité dont il participe ».
