« Jusqu’à mon dernier jour, je penserai à vous » aurait dit Yehudi Menuhin à Alexandre Romanès après avoir vu son spectacle ! Ce qui frappe d’abord, c’est cet étonnant alliage, unique, coloré et incroyablement festif, qui marie véritablement musique, chant, danse et cirque. Un art total où joue à pleine capacité chaque élément : violon, contrebasse, accordéon, clarinette, chant, danse, contorsionnistes, jongleurs, équilibristes, trapézistes et cracheurs de feu s’unissent et mettent en forme un paradis tzigane qui enchante le public. Le fondateur Alexandre, sa femme Délia, leurs deux filles, jeunes et déjà talentueuses, et toute une bande de saltimbanques participent à l’aventure teintée de poésie et d’onirisme. Car Alexandre est aussi – et peut-être surtout – poète, il publie son troisième ouvrage chez Gallimard, intitulé Sur l’épaule de l’ange.
