Le Théâtre de l’Athénée poursuit sa programmation musicale de belle qualité. Après nous avoir enchantés avec deux œuvres loufoques et grinçantes (L’Opéra de quatre notes de Tom Johnson et Le Tribun de Maurizio Kagel), la scène de Louis Jouvet accueille un récital de la pianiste Claire-Marie Le Guay. Avec son toucher clair et sa musicalité précise et sans emphase, la pianiste incarne le meilleur de l’école française pianistique. Elle a choisi d’interpréter deux pièces classiques (la Sonate Hob. XVI 20 de Haydn et la Sonate en si bémol Majeur KV 333 de Mozart), un chef-d’œuvre romantique (Après une lecture de Dante de Liszt) et deux œuvres contemporaines, dont l’une donnée en création, de Thierry Escaich. Ce dernier est sans conteste le plus doué des compositeurs de l’école « néo-tonale ». Pas d’imitations simplistes mais une écriture virtuose et maîtrisée chez ce compositeur qui connaît parfaitement les claviers pour être lui-même un brillant organiste.
