Pendant une heure, alors que ses élèves de Sixième planchent sur L’Odyssée, une jeune professeur de français vagabonde en pensée et questionne, avec une objectivité qui se garde autant du pessimisme que de l’angélisme, les conditions de possibilité d’un métier trop souvent considéré comme un sacerdoce. Avec un véritable sens du concret, entre anecdotes, portraits, réflexions, doutes et formidables victoires, Blandine Keller dresse un portrait sensible et délicat de ces « apprenants » de Seine-Saint-Denis que l’institution et la société caricaturent trop souvent en ignorant la complexité de leurs positions, de leurs attentes et de leurs postures, et sur le chemin d’apprentissage desquels sont placées des embûches qui les font trébucher, loin du confort des ornières de la culture savante. Contre toute idée reçue, le texte croise récits scolaires et réflexions sur la transmission, rendue d’autant plus intéressants dans cette situation particulière où les intelligences ne partagent pas toujours le même langage symbolique et culturel. C’est Océane Mozas, comédienne pleine de délicatesse et d’intelligence dramatique, qui offre son visage et son jeu à cette odyssée sur la mer des périls et des joies pédagogiques.
