« Je voulais te voir pour te dire que ça s’arrête / ça va pas continuer / on va pas continuer / ça va s’arrêter là… » Les mots frappent, d’un coup sec. Ça ne fait que commencer. C’est Stan qui parle. Il veut partir, il va partir. Il a besoin de dire, de dire la fin, l’effondrement, l’imparfait du présent, de dire le désir d’un autre regard où se voir, la quête d’un ailleurs possible, d’un nouveau commencement. Les mots burinent à la surface du langage, s’accumulent en concepts, en boucles, et se répandent par déflagrations, tailladent la chair jusqu’aux entrailles. Ils dévastent tout, ils salissent tout, les souvenirs, les rêves à venir, détruisent tous les chemins du retour. S’attardent même sur quelques mesquines tractations. Elle, Audrey, ne bouge pas, ne parle pas, ploie pourtant doucement, serre les poings dans sa bouche pour ne pas hurler, ne pas pleurer. Tient, debout. C’est à elle ensuite de dire. Elle riposte, terme à terme, souveraine et blessée, tranche d’un trait coupant toutes théories pratiques qui fardent la crise narcissique, tous les arguments qui souillent leur histoire.
Aller jusqu’au bout de leur histoire
Audrey vise juste, elle fauche les mots dans le concret de la vie, épuise la mémoire de son corps, elle rappelle les instants, les serments, les riens, tout ce qui fait la force de son amour, de sa défaite. Elle pourrait même pardonner. Elle garde la saveur crue du vécu. Et c’est à lui, à Stan, d’encaisser les coups en silence, de tomber, lentement. Clôture de l’amour, en deux rounds implacables. Stanislas Nordey et Audrey Bonnet sont face à face, à distance, enfermés dans une banale salle de répétition pour un long plan séquence. L’auteur et metteur en scène Pascal Rambert a taillé ces deux monologues pour eux. Lui scande la diction par le geste, avec cette manière étrange d’articuler, d’asséner, qui peut confiner au maniérisme. Elle affûte le verbe, fière guerrière, fauve et généreuse, ardente amante déchue. Touche au cœur. Dans ce texte, qui résonne avec Le début de l’A. créé en 2005, Pascal Rambert renoue avec une dramaturgie dialoguée où le mouvement du corps répond à l’impact des mots, tirés à bout portant. L’engagement physique qu’exige l’écriture, sa poésie rugueuse, le mutisme contraint de l’un face aux frappes verbales de l’autre, les ravages de la rupture désamorcent heureusement la tentation du mélo et serrent l’émotion au creux du ventre. C’est une déferlante qui emporte, emporte tout.
