Cirque Jules verne / par Sean Gandini et Kati Ylä-Hokkala
En collaboration avec le réseau européen PASS Circus Channel, qui favorise les échanges entre compagnies anglaises et françaises, le Pôle National Cirque et Arts de la Rue d’Amiens propose une saison de cirque franco-anglaise, nommée Picardilly Circus, dans le magnifique cirque Jules Verne et quelques autres lieux picards. Fondée en 1992 par Sean Gandini et Kati Ylä-Hokkala, la compagnie Gandini Juggling a tourné dans divers pays du monde. A l’issue d’une résidence au Cirque Jules Verne, la compagnie, déjà présente en octobre avec Smashed, propose de découvrir sa dernière création, Clowns & Queens. Ce n’est pas tant le jonglage en soi qui étonne ici, mais ce qu’il révèle de la relation entre les corps, et entre les êtres. Le jeu précis des lumières, le travail scénographique et corporel extrêmement soigné et le jonglage virtuose conjuguent savamment leurs effets pour faire naître une sorte de rituel transgressif d’apparitions et disparitions, un jeu scabreux entremêlant beauté et perversité. Très théâtralisée, oeuvrant sur les sublimes Cantates de Bach, la pièce réinvente le désir avec un humour… subversif !
