Bien que plus populaire qu’aucun autre, personne n’a envie d’y entrer. Car faire partie du Club 27, c’est être déjà mort. Et non sans souffrances. Tous décédés à 27 ans, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones et Jimi Hendrix en sont les membres d’honneur. Incarnés par Céline Champinot, Séverine Astel, Elise Marie, Zoone Besse et Guillaume Barbot, qui signe également le texte et la mise en scène, ces icônes du rock sont les personnages de Club 27. Une évocation musicale et documentaire des cinq étoiles filantes, créée en 2012 à la Manufacture à Avignon, et reprise aujourd’hui au Théâtre Gérard Philipe à Saint-Denis. Ces disparitions prématurées seraient-elles une image de notre époque ? Un avertissement contre ses dérives ? Comment construire nos mythes ? Accompagnés par les compositions de Pierre-Marie Braye-Weppe, les cinq artistes de Club 27 explorent diverses questions sur l’esprit rock.
