« Y’a du monde comme ça, qui parle au monde en toute conscience critique parmi la belle chaleur du rire et qui a connu le désespoir et la rage et n’a rien perdu de la tendresse que l’absurde bien vécu fait fleurir ». Ainsi se présente Sol. Marginal espiègle mu par un irrésistible appétit pour le néologisme et le double sens, la contrepèterie et le calembour, pourfendeur de la société du spectacle, « de la justice sans balance », « des inanitions unies », de la « démocrasseuse », il ose avec élégance la question « Comment va le monde ? ». La comédienne Marie Thomas, habituée des performances scéniques individuelles, se réapproprie le rôle avec jubilation, jouant de toutes les facettes de l’irrévérence clownesque. Fausse dyslexie, apparente naïveté, lapsus volontaires, forcent l’écoute de cet idiot érudit, cet innocent philosophe, qu’est Sol. La mise en scène de Michel Bruzat, directeur du Théâtre de La Passerelle à Limoges où le spectacle a été créé, s’appuie sur la qualité du jeu de celle qu’il a invitée à reprendre le personnage de Sol.
