La Villette / Chor. Germaine Acogny & Malou Airaudo / Pina Bausch
Malou Airaudo a été l’une des interprètes de la première heure de Pina Bausch. Elle a créé des rôles majeurs dans Iphigénie en Tauride, Orphée et Eurydice ou Café Müller. Germaine Acogny, elle, est considérée comme la mère de la danse africaine contemporaine. Ces deux grandes dames de l’art chorégraphique, interprètes d’exception, ouvrent la soirée avec Common ground[s]. Dans une pénombre orangée, elles nous invitent à un rituel qui avec beaucoup de douceur revisite leurs parcours, évoque leur rencontre à l’École des Sables ou leurs ancêtres. Les deux femmes à la présence éblouissante nous laissent entrevoir tout ce qu’elles ont en commun.
Une magnifique version du Sacre
Après cette tendre sororité et un entracte nécessaire à la très chorégraphique installation de la fameuse tourbe sur le sol, place à la sauvagerie tellurique du Sacre du printemps. Trente-quatre danseurs venus de toute l’Afrique s’emparent avec évidence de l’œuvre magistrale de Pina Bausch. Les corps agités de spasmes tremblent, hommes et femmes virevoltent et s’entrechoquent dans de violentes étreintes, la danse explose, les nuisettes se maculent de terre et de sueur. Jusqu’au choix et au déchirant sacrifice de l’élue, interprétée le soir de la première par une Luciény Kaabral bouleversante de vérité. C’est tout à la fois sublime et insoutenable.
