Théâtre et musique. Chez Georges Aperghis, l’un des principaux inventeurs du théâtre musical contemporain, les deux ont toujours partie liée. Avec l’Atelier Théâtre et Musique (ATEM) qu’il fonde en 1976, il rapproche la voix parlée – celle de comédiens tels Édith Scob ou Michael Lonsdale – de la voix chantée et du jeu instrumental. Tout joue chez Georges Aperghis : la voix se fait instrument, le musicien devient acteur, au corps à corps avec son instrument, le texte se découpe en sons. Sa musique est comme un rituel joyeux dont les mots sont les serviteurs, entre innocence enfantine et pandémonium. Le contrebassiste Florentin Ginot a conçu ce concert où musique et textes prennent corps, autour d’une poignée d’œuvres pour son instrument : Obstinate, Black Light (en création), Cinq couplets (nouvelle version). Elles sont croisées avec les Récitations créées il y a quarante ans par Martine Viard et reprise aujourd’hui par la soprano Juliet Fraser et des extraits de Zig Bang, recueil de textes du compositeur, lus par Valérie Dréville.
