PIANO / BOUFFES DU NORD
Fondé au siècle dernier (en 1994) pour honorer un répertoire proche et pourtant trop discret sur la scène pianistique, le Concours d’Orléans n’a cessé d’affirmer sa nécessité à mesure que la musique pour piano s’enrichit d’œuvres nouvelles. Cette année, quarante-deux pianistes venus de quinze pays se disputeront, dès le 8 mars à Orléans, les différents prix en jeu. Car, si l’idée forte du concours est de couvrir l’ensemble des esthétiques qui parcourent les 20e et 21e siècles, des prix distinctifs récompensent les meilleures interprétations de pages d’Albert Roussel, André Jolivet, Alberto Ginastera, Edison Denisov, Isang Yun… Appelés à composer, dès les premières épreuves, leur propre récital, les candidats rendront cette année un hommage obligé à Debussy. Les finalistes, quant à eux, livreront leur interprétation d’Arpège pour piano et ensemble de Franco Donatoni (1927-2000) ainsi que d’Au cœur de l’oblique, pièce composée spécialement pour le concours par l’Espagnol Hèctor Parra (né en 1976), dont la version intégrale sera créée lors du concert des lauréats aux Bouffes du Nord. Sur la scène parisienne, les trois pianistes finalistes proposeront également un florilège de leurs récitals orléanais. À noter qu’en lever de rideau (à 17h) seront présentés les lauréats du concours de piano « junior » Brin d’herbe.
