Théâtre de la Virgule de Tourcoing / de Nick Payne / mes Arnaud Anckaert
Marianne, spécialiste de physique quantique, rencontre Roland, apiculteur, à l’occasion d’un barbecue. Scénario apparemment banal : ils se rencontrent, s’aiment, se séparent et doivent assumer leurs choix face à l’adversité. Pourtant, comme le remarque Arnaud Anckaert, « la pièce échappe aux stéréotypes, en développant dans son écriture un système de scènes qui se répètent, en introduisant de subtiles variations de l’une à l’autre. » Partant du principe qu’un même événement est susceptible de connaître plusieurs issues différentes, et qu’il suffit parfois d’un intonation pour que les choses prennent une tournure particulière, Constellations ouvre les portes d’un univers non linéaire, d’un « multivers », comme l’appelle Marianne, où toutes nos décisions coexistent au sein de l’ensemble des possibles parallèles. Le jeune dramaturge britannique Nick Payne, ici traduit par Séverine Magois, « stimule notre intelligence en questionnant de grands thèmes comme l’amour, l’infidélité, le temps, la maladie, la mort, le libre arbitre… sans oublier bien sûr les abeilles et la physique quantique. »
