LES LILAS / MALAKOFF / COUTANCES / JAZZ
Après avoir récemment créé une nouvelle proposition musicale, « Fragments », ambitieuse « suite » pour sextet en hommage aux émotions pop-rock de ses années lycée des années 1970, le contrebassiste Yves Rousseau reprend la route dans sa formule la plus légère et improvisée qui soit, le duo Continuum qu’il forme avec le saxophoniste Jean-Marc Larché. Des Lilas à Malakoff avec un détour au vert « Sous les pommiers » de Coutances, les deux complices reprennent le fil de leur conversation ininterrompue. Le dépouillement et le caractère intimiste de la formule agissent comme un révélateur qui accélère l’émotion. La musique voyage à l’aise, aux confins du jazz, des musiques du monde et de la musique classique. La communion de deux frères en musique, complices de trente ans, unis dans l’appropriation de l’instant avec en commun un goût intact, toujours réactivé, « pour les formes improvisées totalement ouvertes ».
